Jackson State Sweeps Roane State in Historic Conference Opener
Jackson, TN — The Jackson State Community College volleyball team made history Friday night inside The Nest, hosting and winning its first-ever conference match with a dominant 3–0 sweep over Roane State Community College. The Green Jays controlled the contest from start to finish, taking the sets 25–13, 25–20, and 25–11.
Jackson State's efficient offense and aggressive serving set the tone early, as the team hit .278 overall while holding Roane State to negative hitting in two of the three sets.

Mattie Hopper delivered a breakout performance, hitting .800 with 4 kills on 5 attempts and no errors.

Christina Caradine and Kalli Maclin added balance on the attack, each hitting .455 on the night.
