Green Jays Heating Up: Men’s Basketball Wins Two Straight TCCAA Thrillers

JACKSON, Tenn. — With postseason play approaching, Jackson State Community College Men's Basketball is finding its rhythm at the right time, securing back-to-back TCCAA conference victories in dramatic fashion.

The Green Jays opened the week with an 84–80 home win over Volunteer State Community College before following it up with an 82–80 road victory at Roane State Community College. Both games were tightly contested battles that showcased the team's resilience, execution, and collective determination.

Against Volunteer State, Jackson State protected home court in a physical conference matchup, making key plays down the stretch to secure the four-point victory. The momentum carried into the road contest at Roane State, where the Green Jays demonstrated poise in a hostile environment, once again closing out a two-point win in the final moments.

Sophomore guard Ron Brisbon continues to establish himself as one of the premier players in the TCCAA. His leadership, scoring ability, and late-game composure have been instrumental in the Green Jays' recent surge. Time and again, Brisbon has delivered in crucial possessions, setting the tone for the team on both ends of the floor.

Freshman standout Dallas Berkley has also emerged as one of the conference's top newcomers. Berkley's confidence, versatility, and impact beyond his years have provided a major spark throughout league play, further strengthening a roster that is peaking at the right time.

While individual performances have stood out, the recent success has been fueled by a complete team effort. Defensive intensity, timely shot-making, and contributions throughout the rotation have propelled Jackson State to consecutive conference wins and renewed momentum entering the final stretch.
