JACKSON, TN — JSCC Athletics to host Pre-Season Baseball, Softball Press Conference

WHO: Jackson State Community College Athletics, Athletic Director Dr. Kevin Lynum, Softball Head Coach Beth Barcroft, Baseball Head Coach Michael Winders, select players from both teams.

WHAT: Pre-season press conference for Green Jay Baseball and Softball teams where coaches and players will discuss their respective teams, outlook on the upcoming season, talk through their schedules, and more. 

JSCC Softball enters the season coming off its strongest campaign since 2018–19, highlighted by a .500 conference record and steady growth across the program. With a competitive returning core and renewed confidence, the Green Jays look to continue building momentum and compete at a high level throughout the conference slate. 

JSCC Baseball opens the season with several key transfers added to the roster, including pitchers expected to make an immediate impact. The combination of new talent and returning contributors positions the Green Jays for a competitive season as they prepare to write the next chapter of the program. 

The 2025–26 campaign is expected to mark the final season played at Jack Martin Field, as construction is scheduled to begin soon on the new JSCC Baseball Field. The season will celebrate the legacy of Jack Martin Field while looking ahead to a new era of Green Jay Baseball.
