Jackson State Celebrates Sophomore Night; Men Earn 84–80 Win Over Volunteer State
JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson State Community College Athletics honored eight sophomore student-athletes on February 18 during a special Sophomore Night celebration held in conjunction with basketball contests against Volunteer State Community College inside The Nest.
The evening recognized sophomores from the women's basketball, men's basketball, and cheer programs for their dedication, leadership, and contributions to Green Jay Athletics.
Women's Basketball
The Lady Green Jays competed in a tightly contested matchup, ultimately falling 71–69 to Volunteer State in a game that came down to the final possessions.

Men's Basketball
The men's basketball team closed the night with an exciting 84–80 victory over Volunteer State, earning a hard-fought conference win in front of the home crowd.
